Dr. Nina Routon earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Creighton University in 2013 and has dedicated her career to helping individuals with complex medical conditions regain function, confidence, and quality of life.
As the founder and owner of Salt + Light Wellness, she established the practice in 2024 with a vision of providing compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals living with lymphedema, lipedema, cancer-related impairments, and other chronic conditions.
A Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT-LANA) since 2020, Dr. Routon has advanced training in lymphedema management, oncology rehabilitation, Parkinson’s disease, chronic pain, and dry needling.
Throughout her career, she has played an instrumental role in developing several lymphedema and oncology rehabilitation programs across Northern Nevada and helped launch the region’s first Rock Steady Boxing program for individuals with Parkinson’s disease in 2015.
Dr. Routon believes that exceptional healthcare goes beyond treating a diagnosis—it means caring for the whole person. She is passionate about empowering her patients through education, individualized treatment, and genuine relationships that foster hope and lasting results.
When she’s not in the clinic, Nina enjoys spending time outdoors snowboarding, hiking, camping, and making memories with her husband, their two daughters, and their dogs.

Driven by a passion for helping individuals with lymphatic disorders, she became a Certified Lymphedema Therapist in 2026 and is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for patients with lymphedema, lipedema, and other chronic conditions.
Before pursuing a career in physical therapy, Bailey proudly served as an active-duty officer in the United States Air Force from 2012 to 2017. During her service, she worked as an Operator and Mission Qualification Training Instructor for the Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS) at Schriever Air Force Base in Colorado and later served as an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies with Air Force ROTC Detachment 305 at Louisiana Tech University. Her military background instilled the leadership, discipline, and commitment to service that continue to shape her approach to patient care today.
